Janet originally started Pilates as a way to relieve upper back pain due to being hunched over a desk for many hours a day. Not only did Pilates significantly reduce her back pain, but Janet quickly recognized that Pilates enhanced her life in many ways including: improving posture, increasing strength and flexibility, and reducing stress. Janet’s passion to share Pilates with others led her to the teacher training program at Pilates of Cherry Creek in Denver, Colorado.
She was trained extensively in classical Pilates under Hope Petrine, who studied directly under Romana Kryzanowska. Janet has worked with clients of all ages from 12 to 80. She has had clients with back and knee issues, those learning to use their muscles for the first time, as well as the fitness enthusiast and dancer. Janet’s goal is to provide a Pilates program that is fitting to each client in order to enrich every one of her client’s life through the Pilates Method.
